LifeRing has seen a good deal of growth the past few weeks, and we have been remiss on this blog for not reporting on the growth. This post is an effort to get caught up. In no particular order, here are the six new meetings:
LifeRing arrives in a new city with the start of a weekly meeting in Los Alamos, NM. That meeting hasn’t quite started yet, but it will very soon. It’s to be held at ADAPT & RECOVER at Trinity Professional Plaza, 3500 Trinity Drive, Los Alamos, New Mexico 87544. It will be meeting on Wednesdays at 6 p.m., convened by Chris B. who can be reached with questions at sobercb@gmail.com
Mahala Kephart has brought not one but two new meetings to Salt Lake City, UT. These are in addition to the one she began a few months ago at Utah Support Advocates, 196 W. 7200 South, Ste. D, which meets every Monday at 5 p.m. The new meetings are both on Wednesdays. One, at noon, meets at 2319 Foothill Dr, room 100. The other is at 501 Chipeta Way at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute in the Recovery Works Suite, room 1074. For more information, email liferingutah@gmail.com.
Petaluma, California, has a new LifeRing meeting convened by Byron K. That meeting is taking place at Olympia House, 11207 Valley Ford Rd., Petaluma. The meetings are held every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Email liferingsr@gmail.com for further information.
Tucson, AZ, has it’s third LifeRing meeting, convened by LifeRing board member Tim Reith and held every Tuesday at 5 p.m. at AMI Behavioral Health Services, 2292 W. Magee Rd., Suite 220. Contact Tim by email at tmreith@gmail.com.
And finally, Akron, Ohio becomes the first city in that state to have a LifeRing meeting. It’s held every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Firestone Park Community Center, 1480 Girard St. More information can be obtained by emailing LifeRingAkron@gmail.com.
