Dear LifeRingers,
It's been a while since our blog has seen any activity, and we're happy to reintroduce it to you with the following request:
Hello, my name is Kiefer Cowie and I am a Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student at The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. I am conducting research on the experiences of adults who have struggled with alcohol consumption and how they speak about their recovery to different social connections.
Is telling people about being recovery from alcohol misuse helpful? If so, are there certain social connections that are more helpful than others? These are some of the important questions we are hoping to learn about during this project.
Participants have an opportunity to be entered into a draw for one of four $25 Amazon gift cards at the conclusion of the study.
Eligible participants should be at least 18 years of age, self-identify a history of struggling with alcohol consumption, and be willing to participate in an anonymous online questionnaire (10-15 minutes in length) based study.
If you are eligible and willing to participate or know someone who is, please use the following link:
If you have any questions, please email me at kcowie@wi.edu. My dissertation chair is Dr. Emily Diamond, PsyD. She can be reached at ediamond@wi.edu for any questions.
Thanks, everyone. See you again soon!
